Billy Data-driven platform

Project Overview

Billy is a web platform designed to simplify invoicing and financial management for freelancers and small business owners. It helps users stay organized and in control of their business finances with ease.

My Role

As a UX/UI designer on the team, I worked alongside three designers and four developers over a 12-week period. My contributions included conducting target user research, designing user flows and wireframes, building the UI kit, creating high-fidelity mockups, running usability testing, and helping edit the final project proposal.

Problem

For freelancers and small business owners using limited invoicing tools, managing billing can be frustrating and time-consuming. Creating professional invoices, making sure clients receive them, and keeping track of payments are common pain points that add stress to their workflow.

Solution

Billy is a web platform that helps freelancers and small business owners create professional invoices quickly and easily. It allows users to track payments and manage business finances with greater clarity, all within a single, intuitive workspace.

Branding

The icon is the combination of the letter ‘b’ and the checked mark representing Billy helps things get done.

A sans-serif font; Radjani Bold used to show modernity. The corner rounded of the font and the icon convey that payment and invoice are usually structured but could be less rigid with Billy’s help.

A minimum clear space must always surround the logo. The entire logo and icon logo is equal to the half-width of the square width in the icon.

Typography & Color

Iris is the main color with an extension of blue and a hint of purple, to represent reliability, trust, creativity, and wealth. The secondary color, turquoise symbolized friendliness and cheerfulness. It’s radiating the tranquility of blue, the growth of green, and the vitality of yellow.
